The Surron Storm Bee MX competition electric bike sits at the top of Surron’s off-road range, built for riders who’ve outgrown the Light Bee and want a machine that competes directly with petrol motocross bikes.
Power, battery and range

- Continuous motor output: 22.5kW (peak exceeds 40kW in short bursts)
- Battery: 74V 55Ah lithium-ion, approx. 4,070Wh usable
- Typical riding time: 1.5–2 hours of hard motocross-style riding
- Suspension: fully adjustable USD forks, linkage rear monoshock
Built for competition, not the commute
Without road-legal lighting or registration equipment, this MX configuration is optimised purely for track and trail performance — geometry, suspension tuning and power delivery are all calibrated for motocross and enduro riding rather than mixed use.
Australian compliance
This MX-spec Storm Bee is for closed-course and private property use only — it has no ADR road equipment and cannot be ridden on Australian public roads. If you want the same drivetrain with road-legal equipment, see the Storm Bee Enduro Road variant. Always check current requirements with your state transport authority (TfNSW, VicRoads, TMR Queensland) before assuming any off-road bike can be registered.
Background: electric motorcycles and scooters.
