Refund and Returns Policy

This policy explains how Surron Electric Ride handles cancellations, returns, refunds, damaged deliveries, incorrect items, battery-powered products, road-use equipment, and buyer responsibilities for high-value electric bikes shipped across the EU and international markets.

Policy introduction

Clear returns guidance for performance electric bike buyers.

Surron Electric Ride supplies high-performance electric ride products, including off-road electric dirt bikes, street-legal electric motorcycle configurations, battery-powered trail machines, and power components. These products are different from ordinary small parcel goods. They are large, valuable, technically complex, and often shipped through specialist freight routes. Because of that, refunds and returns require careful handling from both the customer and our support team.

This Refund and Returns Policy is designed to be practical, transparent, and easy to follow. It explains when an order may be cancelled, when a return can be requested, how a refund is assessed, what happens if a delivery arrives damaged, how battery-powered products must be handled, and why certain conditions can reduce or prevent a refund. It also explains the difference between a buyer changing their mind, a product arriving damaged, a product being incorrect, and a product being unsuitable because of local road-use rules.

For general consumer background, customers may find neutral reference material on consumer protection, consumer rights, warranty, European Union law, electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and lithium-ion batteries. These links are informational only and do not replace the specific terms of this store policy or any applicable local law.

This policy applies to products purchased from Surron Electric Ride, including the Talaria Sting R MX4 Off-Road 2025, Talaria xXx TL2500, Surron Ultra Bee MX Dirt Bike 2025, Surron Ultra Bee Street Legal 2025, Surron Storm Bee MX 2025, and Surron Storm Bee Enduro Road 2025. It also applies to compatible accessories, chargers, power components, and replacement items where those products are sold directly through our store.

Core conditions

The return condition matters as much as the return request.

A return is assessed by the condition of the product, packaging, battery, charger, documents, accessories, and whether the item can be resold safely as new.

Unridden and unused

Electric bikes must be unridden, unmodified, clean, and in original condition unless the return is due to verified delivery damage or an incorrect item.

Original packaging

Keep the box, pallet, padding, manuals, charger, keys, documents, and accessories until your inspection period is complete.

Prompt reporting

Delivery damage, missing items, incorrect items, or visible freight issues should be reported quickly with photographs and order details.

Full policy

Refunds, cancellations, returns, and damaged delivery handling.

1. Order cancellations before dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible with your order number, full name, product name, billing email, and reason for cancellation. If the order has not yet entered warehouse processing, freight booking, export preparation, or dispatch handling, we will usually be able to cancel it and issue a refund through the original payment method.

Large electric bikes may enter preparation quickly after payment. Once a product has been allocated, packed, loaded, booked with a freight courier, or transferred into cross-border processing, cancellation may no longer be treated as a simple pre-dispatch cancellation. In that situation, the order may need to follow the returns process instead. Any freight, handling, payment processing, customs documentation, or recovery charges already incurred may be deducted where allowed by applicable law and this policy.

2. Change-of-mind returns

A change-of-mind return means the product arrived as ordered, but the customer no longer wants it. For electric bikes, this type of return is only available where the product remains unused, unridden, unregistered, unmodified, undamaged, and complete with original packaging, charger, keys, manuals, documents, and accessories. The bike must be in a condition suitable for inspection and resale as new. A bike that has been ridden outdoors, used on dirt, charged repeatedly, modified, registered for road use, damaged, scratched, or assembled beyond inspection handling may not qualify for a full refund.

Customers should not treat an electric bike like clothing or a small household item. Performance electric bikes can lose resale value immediately when they are ridden, marked, assembled incorrectly, contaminated with mud, modified, or returned without packaging. If a return is accepted but the product is not in original condition, we may deduct reasonable amounts for diminished value, missing items, cleaning, repacking, inspection, service checks, or return freight handling where permitted.

3. Product inspection after delivery

When your electric bike arrives, inspect the packaging before signing or accepting the delivery where possible. Look for crushed corners, broken straps, water damage, punctures, torn cardboard, pallet damage, or signs that the shipment was dropped. Take clear photographs before unpacking if anything looks unusual. After unpacking, inspect the frame, fork, wheels, display, controls, battery casing, charger, charging port, brake levers, tyres, accessories, and documents.

Before riding, check that the product is the correct model. If you ordered the Surron Ultra Bee Street Legal 2025, do not assume an MX variant is equivalent. If you ordered the Talaria Sting R MX4 Off-Road 2025, check the bike and included accessories before assembly or outdoor use. If the product appears incorrect, incomplete, or damaged, stop using it and contact support immediately.

4. Damaged deliveries

If your order arrives visibly damaged, report it as soon as possible. Provide your order number, delivery date, courier details, photos of the outer packaging, photos of any pallet or box damage, photos of the product damage, and a written explanation. Do not discard the packaging until the claim has been reviewed. Freight couriers may require packaging evidence to process a damage investigation.

If the damage is confirmed as delivery-related and reported within the required timeframe, we may offer replacement parts, repair support, partial refund, full replacement, or return and refund depending on the nature of the issue. Cosmetic packaging damage alone does not automatically mean the product is damaged. However, hidden damage discovered during careful unpacking should still be documented immediately. Do not ride a bike that may have structural, battery, brake, steering, fork, wheel, or electrical damage.

5. Incorrect or missing items

If you receive the wrong product, wrong charger, missing accessory, missing document, or incorrect component, contact us before using the item. Include photos of what arrived, the packaging label, product label where visible, and the order confirmation. We will review the issue and provide the appropriate resolution. This may include sending the missing item, arranging collection, replacing the incorrect product, or issuing a partial adjustment where appropriate.

Using an incorrect product can complicate the return process. For example, if a customer orders a street-legal configuration but receives an off-road product, the item should not be ridden, registered, modified, or assembled for outdoor use. Keeping the product unused protects the customer’s rights and allows the issue to be corrected cleanly.

6. Battery-powered product requirements

Electric bike batteries require careful handling. Lithium-ion battery systems are valuable, regulated, and safety-sensitive. A returned battery must not be physically damaged, opened, modified, submerged, overheated, punctured, crushed, shorted, or charged with an incompatible charger. If a battery shows signs of misuse, impact, water exposure, swelling, tampering, heat damage, connector damage, or unsafe handling, the return may be refused or handled through a specialist safety process.

Customers should use only the supplied or approved charger. Do not use improvised charging equipment, incompatible voltage chargers, modified connectors, or damaged cables. Battery misuse can affect refund eligibility, warranty assessment, safety, and transport handling. For broad background on this battery type, see the Wikipedia article on lithium-ion batteries.

7. Road-legal products and registration issues

Some electric bikes are sold as off-road or private-land products, while others may be sold with road equipment. A road-equipped product may still require local registration, insurance, licensing, inspection, or approval before public-road use. Customers are responsible for checking the rules in their location before ordering and before riding on public roads. Local requirements may vary across EU member states and other destinations.

A return will not automatically be accepted simply because a customer later discovers that a product cannot be registered in their location, cannot be insured by their chosen insurer, or does not match their local road-use expectations. If public-road use is essential, verify requirements before purchase. Products such as the Surron Ultra Bee Street Legal 2025 and Surron Storm Bee Enduro Road 2025 should still be checked against local authority rules before use.

8. Off-road, private-land, and MX products

Off-road and MX products are intended for private land, closed-course environments, or permitted off-road areas. They may not include the equipment required for public-road use. They may exceed ordinary electric bicycle limits and should not be treated as standard pedal-assist bicycles. Products such as the Talaria Sting R MX4 Off-Road 2025, Talaria xXx TL2500, Surron Ultra Bee MX Dirt Bike 2025, and Surron Storm Bee MX 2025 should be assessed with their intended use in mind.

Returns based on misunderstanding off-road status may be limited if the product page clearly identified the product as off-road, MX, private-land, or non-road use. Customers should read the product description, specifications, and legal-use notes carefully before ordering. If you are uncertain whether a product matches your intended use, ask before purchase rather than after delivery.

9. Return shipping and collection

Electric bike returns may require specialist freight collection. The customer must not send a large electric bike through an unsuitable parcel courier. If a return is approved, we will provide instructions for repacking, collection, documentation, and safe handling. The product must be secured in appropriate packaging, with the battery and charger handled according to the instructions provided.

Unless the return is due to confirmed fault, confirmed incorrect item, or confirmed delivery damage, the customer may be responsible for return freight costs. If a collection is missed because the product was not ready, inaccessible, incorrectly packed, or the address was not available, additional charges may apply. Freight costs for electric bikes can be significant because of size, weight, value, and battery transport considerations.

10. Refund timing

Refunds are not normally issued the moment a customer requests a return. First, the return must be approved. Then the product must be collected or shipped back according to instructions. After arrival, it must be inspected for condition, completeness, damage, usage, missing accessories, battery state, charger condition, documents, and packaging. Once the inspection is complete, the refund amount will be confirmed.

If the product is accepted in original condition, the refund will be processed to the original payment method where possible. Processing times can vary by payment provider and bank. If deductions apply because of missing items, damage, use, diminished value, cleaning, repacking, freight, or service inspection, the adjusted refund amount will be communicated. We aim to handle refunds fairly and clearly, but inspection is necessary for high-value electric bike products.

11. Non-returnable or restricted items

Certain items may be non-returnable or restricted once opened, installed, registered, charged, modified, used, or damaged. This can include special-order products, custom configurations, electrical components, batteries showing unsafe condition, chargers with signs of misuse, installed parts, opened service components, and products that cannot be safely resold. A product that has been modified with aftermarket parts, controller changes, battery changes, wiring changes, firmware changes, or structural changes may be refused.

Protective packaging, manuals, keys, chargers, documentation, and accessories are part of the product. Missing items can reduce refund value. If a returned product is unsafe to transport, we may need to follow specialist battery or freight procedures. Safety always takes priority over speed.

12. Faults and warranty assessment

A fault claim is different from a change-of-mind return. If you believe your product has a fault, contact us with a detailed explanation, photos or video where helpful, order details, and a description of when the issue appeared. Do not continue riding if the issue affects brakes, steering, battery, charging, throttle, motor, frame, wheels, or suspension safety.

Fault assessment may involve troubleshooting, replacement parts, repair guidance, service inspection, manufacturer review, or return inspection. Misuse, crash damage, water ingress, incompatible chargers, unauthorized modifications, racing damage, poor maintenance, incorrect assembly, and normal wear may not qualify as a product fault. Wear items such as tyres, brake pads, chains, sprockets, grips, and cosmetic surfaces are assessed differently from manufacturing defects.

13. Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for reading the product page, checking compatibility, confirming local road-use requirements, providing accurate delivery information, inspecting the product on arrival, keeping packaging during the inspection period, using the correct charger, maintaining the bike properly, and reporting problems promptly. Customers should also use appropriate protective equipment and ride only in lawful, suitable locations.

Many return problems can be avoided by careful pre-purchase checks. Ask whether you need road use or private-land use. Ask whether the bike size fits the rider. Ask whether the battery capacity matches the riding session. Ask where the bike will be stored and charged. Ask whether freight delivery can access your address. Ask whether registration is possible in your country if the bike is intended for public-road use.

Refund and returns FAQ

Common policy questions.

In most change-of-mind cases, an electric bike must be unridden and in original condition to qualify for a full refund. Riding the bike outdoors can cause tyre wear, brake wear, cosmetic marks, drivetrain wear, dirt contamination, and diminished resale value. If the return is related to a verified fault or delivery damage, the case will be reviewed separately.

Photograph the packaging and product immediately, keep all packaging, do not ride the bike, and contact support with your order details. We will review the evidence and may offer parts, repair support, replacement, partial refund, or return and refund depending on the confirmed issue.

Customers are responsible for checking local road-use rules before ordering. If a product page identifies a bike as off-road, MX, private-land, or non-road use, it should not be assumed suitable for public-road registration. Street-legal products should still be checked with local authorities before purchase.

If the return is due to change of mind, the customer may be responsible for return freight. If the return is due to confirmed delivery damage, confirmed incorrect item, or verified product fault, the case will be reviewed and handled according to the circumstances and applicable law.
